As a venue for dance classes and performances, Windhover had an opportunity to host performers and events on their newly built outdoor stage for the spring and summer seasons. This meant they needed a robust redesign of the website with a fresh set of eyes on their branding strategy to stir excitement and interest. The primary goal was to create a platform that patrons could access the event schedule, purchase tickets, and sign up for their newsletter.
I went to work with a colleague to build a site with an events and ticketing platform. We utilized wordpress to create a functional site where they could add new events and update as needed. Users could also easily find venue information and sign up for the Windhover newsletter.

Windhover’s name brought strength to themes relating to the performing arts. Wind and dance identify with concepts like movement, flow, energy and life. Creating a visual element that felt like it was supporting this without taking the focus away from the photography was important, so I utilized dividers with a wave pattern throughout the site.
Turning to their own platform for tickets, Windhover anticipates their best season yet in ticket sales. The new site has created more engagement from their audience with higher levels of sign-ups for the Windhover newsletter.
